  14. You‚Äôll need a clean, protected disk to work from. If you do have an infection, you will need to run your virus checking programs from a clean disk, otherwise the virus will be undoing your work as fast as you do it. Make up a disk with the following files:

  17. A copy of ‚ÄúDisinfectant‚Äù
  18. Lock the floppy (see the next card on how to lock a floppy)

  20. Do not install any virus protection programs on your virus checking disk. Locking the floppy will protect it and protection programs might get in the way of the anti-viral programs.
